The Italian Navy run the NATO Research Vessel Alliance and are excited about returning to the challenging Arctic seas. Commander in Chief of the Italian Fleet, vice-admiral Donato Marzano, said: “A mission in unusual waters for our Navy, but every sailor moved by spirit of adventure dreams of sailing into unknown seas”.
